Mrs. Jackson is a 1991 graduate of Frost High School, and began her career in education in 1997 as an instructional aide in the elementary special education classroom. When Texas A&M - Commerce began their education partnership with Navarro College, she finished her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with the first cohort to graduate from the program. She taught secondary English and 5th Grade ELAR for several years at Frost ISD.
Mrs. Jackson completed her Master of Arts in School Counseling from the University of Texas - Tyler and left the classroom to provide support and guidance for Frost students as the school counselor and testing coordinator. Later, she assumed the role of principal for the elementary, but also gained the responsibility of overseeing curriculum alignment, management and resources for K-12. Mrs. Jackson has been serving FISD as Superintendent since 2017, and is currently pursuing the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership K-12 at Dallas Baptist University.
Mrs. Jackson has been married to another Frost alumnus, Doug, for 29 years. Their two sons, Mark and Andrew, are proud FHS graduates as well. Once a Polar Bear, Always a Polar Bear.
