Write an APES paragraph describing your thoughts on the following…

6th grade: Vikings and why they got such a bad reputation (why people didn’t like them). Do you think they deserved it?

7th Grade: Describe Stephen F. Austin’s terrible trip to Mexico, what do you think he must have felt when he was arrested? Do you think his views on Mexico will change?

8th Grade: The Mexican American war and Manifest Destiny. What did Polk’s strategy in the War have to do with Manifest Destiny? Do you think he accomplished this goal fairly? Why or why not?
